Greetings,
Beginning October 1, Yuba Water Agency will start major maintenance on our Colgate rock tunnel and penstock pipe, the system that carries water from New Bullards Bar Dam and Reservoir to New Colgate Powerhouse for hydropower generation. We’ll also be making upgrades at our powerhouse.
If you live in the Dobbins area, especially along Lake Francis Road, here's what you can expect during this four-month project:

Traffic: You may notice a small increase in vehicles along Lake Francis Road and Marysville Road during the hours of 6-7 a.m. and 6-7 p.m. due to worker shift changes.

Large trucks: Several days in early November will involve concrete pours that require large trucks in the area. We’ll post exact dates on our project website and notify residents by email once those dates are confirmed.

Noise: While occasional increases in noise are possible, we are committed to keeping disruptions to a minimum.

This is the largest maintenance and improvement effort Yuba Water has undertaken in modern history, and we appreciate your patience and support as we complete this important work.
