Greetings,
Today's penstock pipe delivery is now expected to depart from its current location north of Chico around 10 a.m., which means a later arrival this afternoon. We'll share an anticipated arrival window later this morning once the transport is on the road.
As a reminder, traffic along Marysville Road, Old Dobbins Road and Lake Francis Road will be impacted during the delivery.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The delivery will be traveling eastbound on Marysville Road and is expected to reach Lake Francis Road sometime this afternoon.
- This is an approximately 19-foot tall, 16-foot-wide, oversized load that will be escorted by the California Highway Patrol to ensure safety and manage traffic. Local utilities will also be on-site to help move any utility lines along the route.
- Traffic control will allow vehicles to pass through, but expect some delays, especially along narrower sections of Lake Francis Road where turnouts are limited. Allow extra time to travel in and out of the area in the afternoon.
Due to the size and complexity of this delivery, the exact schedule may change again depending on road conditions and other logistics.
