Greetings,
We are reaching out to confirm that the delivery of a large pipe section for Yuba Water Agency’s Colgate Tunnel and penstock improvement project is in route and still anticipated to arrive this Friday, June 6 between 8 and 11 a.m. Traffic along Marysville Road, Old Dobbins Road and Lake Francis Road will be impacted during the delivery.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The delivery will be traveling eastbound on Marysville Road and is expected to reach Lake Francis Road between 8 and 11 a.m. We should have a more defined delivery window to share with you by late Thursday or early Friday.
- This is a tall, oversized load that will be escorted by the California Highway Patrol to ensure safety and manage traffic. Local utilities will also be on-site to help move any utility lines along the route.
- Traffic control will allow vehicles to pass through, but expect some delays, especially along narrower sections of the road where turnouts are limited. Please plan ahead and allow extra time to travel in and out of the area that morning.
Due to the size and complexity of this delivery, the exact schedule may change depending on road conditions and other logistics. We’ll plan to reach out again Thursday evening or early Friday to share a more defined delivery window.
