Invitation to Beta Test a Cost Reporting System for Municipal Stormwater Permittees
Attention Municipal Stormwater Permittees,
The Strategy to Optimize Resource Management of Stormwater unit at the State Water Resources Control Board invites you to participate in a beta test of a proposed cost reporting system developed for Phase I and traditional Phase II municipal stormwater permittees. The system is designed to allow you to report your expenditures related to the implementation of your municipal stormwater permit.
By participating in this beta test, you will be able to provide valuable input to the upcoming proposed Policy for Standardization of Cost Reporting in Municipal Stormwater Permits, which aims to establish consistent and transparent methods for estimating and reporting municipal stormwater permit costs across different municipalities. Participating permittees will be the early implementers of the proposed cost reporting system as well as a proposed statewide cost reporting tool. Your participation in this beta test is voluntary; however, we hope that you will join us in this opportunity to improve the proposed cost reporting process and provide valuable data for future stormwater management planning.
If you are interested in participating in this beta test, please contact Nabiul Afrooz (Nabiul.Afrooz@waterboards.ca.gov) by March 31, 2023.
We appreciate your cooperation and interest in this project. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Amanda Magee, P.G. (she/her) Senior Engineering Geologist Strategy to Optimize Resource Management of Stormwater (STORMS) Unit Manager Division of Water Quality, State Water Resources Control Board amanda.magee@waterboards.ca.gov 916.322.8569
