City Council Update
The City Council meets tomorrow, Tuesday, June 3, beginning at 6:00. On the agenda will be a series of interviews of candidates for several commissions, including the Planning, Library and Design Review commissions, as well as the Board of Appeals. There will also be a review of the proposed operating budget for the two fiscal years that begin this July.
Last month, the Council declared May as Mental Health Awareness Month and Affordable Housing Month. They also heard the scope of work for staff on the Council's two year priorities.

Boundary Oak's driving range upgrades complete
The Boundary Oak driving range has undergone major improvements, and the City is planning a grand opening event on June 16 at 4:00 p.m. We invite residents to join us to see the upgraded range as well as the Toptracer technology that offers a new experience, including shot tracking and virtual play on world-famous courses.
Fiesta Cultural coming to Walnut Creek this month
Fiesta Cultural is coming again to Walnut Creek. It is a two-day street fair showcasing Latin American arts through music, comedy, dance and art on June 13 and 14. Some events are free and some are ticketed. Find out more online.

For June: Community Service Day: new format for 2025-26
The Walnut Creek Civic Pride Foundation has annually hosted a Community Service Day event that allows for projects to enhance our City to take place. Community Service Day will feature a dual format for 2025-26, offering two events extending across two seasons: a standalone community food drive this fall, and a traditional Community Service Day in the spring of 2026.
