City Manager Fran Robustelli

May 2017

Take a step back in time this month by joining City staff on Saturday, May 13 for Old Borges Ranch Day.

There will be arts and crafts, activities and games, livestock demonstrations and the always-popular ponies and fiddlers.

Nestled in the foothills of Mount Diablo at the southeast side of Shell Ridge, Borges Ranch was established in 1899 by Francisco Borges and is a great example of an early 20th century central California cattle ranch. Today many of the original buildings and structures still exist, including the Borges family home which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Join us from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 13 for a fun-filled day! Cost is $5 per family; please park at Northgate High School and take the shuttle.

Questions, comments about this Update or anything else? Email me at CMUpdates@walnut-creek.org.
