We're preparing for our 30th Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 11, and we want to honor all Victorville Veterans! Please tell us about a Veteran you know and love so we can honor them during our ceremony.

Our celebration will take place in Old Town Victorville and can be viewed from 7th Street and Forrest Avenue.

We'll kick start the event with our Veterans Day Parade at 9 a.m. The Veterans Day Parade will begin at the corner of 7th Street and Tracy Street and proceed to the corner of 7th Street and Forrest Avenue where the ceremony will take place immediately following the conclusion of the parade.

Veteran Information Forms and Parade Entry Applications are due by Oct. 12.

Help us update our Local Hazard Mitigation Plan

We're updating our Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP), and we welcome your input! The LHMP helps us identify actions to reduce risks from natural and human-caused hazards while maintaining the City's eligibility for FEMA mitigation funding. Community members are encouraged to complete this brief survey to share their experiences, concerns, and priorities related to local hazards.

Examples of natural hazards include wildfires, earthquakes, and drought.  Examples of human-caused hazards are hazardous materials spills and an aircraft crash. 

The LHMP community survey is available in English and Spanish online through Fall 2026. This survey will help the LHMP planning team better understand the community’s concerns about natural hazards and identify policies and projects that can help lessen the impact of future hazard events.

Our next Community Cleanup Day is Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and we’re seeking volunteers and sponsors to join us! The event will take place Citywide from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Residents that sign up will receive assigned locations and notifications via email. Volunteers will receive a FREE t-shirt while supplies last.
