Come celebrate the start of the holiday season with us and join in special traditions we look forward to each year.
Winter Festival and Tree Lighting
Join us Dec. 6 at City Hall for our Winter Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and our Tree Lighting event between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.!
Reserve your space to enjoy snow play, sledding, and ice gliding during the Winter Festival at VictorvilleCA.gov/TreeLighting. Then, join us for our Tree Lighting to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and treat yourself to a magical night! We will have horse-drawn carriage rides, ice gliding, snow play, and vendor booths for holiday shopping. Ice gliding and sledding during the evening Tree Lighting do not require pre-registration.

Thanksgiving Holiday Closure
City offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday, Nov. 26-28. Normal business hours will resume Dec. 1. Trash and recycling services will be delayed by one day.
For assistance with time-sensitive matters please refer to the City’s after-hours services at vv.city/ReportaProblem.

Kiwanis Parade: Dec. 6
78th Annual Victorville Christmas Parade
The 78th Annual Christmas Parade hosted by the Victorville Kiwanis is Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. on 7th Street between La Paz Drive and Forrest Avenue.
Bring your holiday cheer and enjoy marching bands, dance groups, car clubs, horses, and an appearance by Santa!

Wellness Center 200th Graduate
Two hundred and counting! This month, Teresa became the 200th client to graduate from homelessness to permanent housing thanks to the services offered at our Victorville Wellness Center in collaboration with Symba! Congratulations, Teresa and to the many clients who came before you.

Call to Artists
We're teaming up with the Friends of the Library to invite artists from across Southern California to submit designs to transform an unfinished, book-shaped bench to be installed at our new library that's nearing completion at the Green Tree Golf Course. Letters to Santa
Santa’s Mailbox is here!
Children can drop off their letters to Santa now through Dec. 12. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to receive a response from Santa!
The North Pole mailbox is located in front of Hook Community Center, 14973 Joshua St. Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Environmental Programs
Residents who deep fried their Thanksgiving turkey can bring the leftover cooking oil to Victorville’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center (HHWCC) at 14889 Loves Lane!
The HHWCC accepts up to 15 gallons of used cooking oil in containers of 5 gallons or less from Victorville residents. It is open every Wednesday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is the perfect opportunity to dispose of used cooking oil safely and sustainably. Please ensure your used cooking oil is in a thick, rigid plastic container with a screw cap. No commercial/business waste accepted.
