Victorville Connect - July 24, 2025 |
|
|
Introducing Victorville NOW, our new City of Victorville customer service app that allows community members to report non-emergency concerns quickly and conveniently from a mobile device. To report an issue, community members simply snap a photo, describe the concern, and send a request from where they are. The mobile app will geo-locate their location, or the user can manually enter the service address. A list of common concerns is available in the app to speed reporting. If preferred, reports can be submitted without photos. Individuals without a mobile device can continue to submit service requests on the City of Victorville website at vv.city/reportaproblem or by calling (760) 955-5000.
Community members can download the Victorville NOW app for free in the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The new app is part of the City of Victorville’s strategic efforts to strengthen communication and outreach with residents.

Pet Safety During Hot Temperatures:
To keep your pets safe this summer, it is important to keep them cool and comfortable to prevent heat related illnesses. Here are a few tips:
- Never leave your pets in a hot car, temperatures rise quickly and can result in the death of your pet.
- Keep plenty of fresh water available.
- Know the symptoms of overheating: difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, excessive drooling, weakness, increased body temperature.
- If the floor burns your hand, it can injure your pets' paws.
- If possible, bring pets indoors to cooler temperatures, or provide shelter and plenty of shade if the pet must remain outdoors.
- Keep up to date with licenses and microchip your pets.
Microchipping pets can aid in reuniting lost pets quicker. During hot months it is crucial that you can be contacted quickly in the instance that your pet has been found.
For more information or to report/search for a lost dog, visit vv.city/animalcare or call (760) 955-5089.

It is open every Wednesday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is the perfect place to dispose of old batteries and used motor oil safely and sustainably. Please ensure your used motor oil is in a thick, rigid plastic container with a screw cap. No commercial/business waste accepted.
