Animal Services
This year, our Victorville Animal Services Team was able to match over 1,000 animals with their "furever" homes through adoption events and rescues.
While we are still building out our new Animal Care and Adoption Center, we encourage residents to call our Animal Services to report stray dogs in the City of Victorville rather than bringing them to the shelter. For your personal safety, please don't try to capture stray animals.
Now through Jan. 5, residents in search of a lost pet should visit vv.city/animalcare, email the team at animalcontrol@victorvilleca.gov, or call the Animal Services after-hours number at (760) 955-5089. During the holiday break, we'll be working to find homes for the adoptable animals in our care.
Request an appointment to see a dog available for adoption through email, and we will follow up to schedule an appointment. Appointments will be available from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Dec. 28, Jan. 3 and Jan. 4.

Community Events
This year, we had incredible attendance at our City of Victorville community events including our Concert in the Park Series, Fall Festival, Hallowboo Drive-Thru, Tree Lighting, and more.
We had so much fun celebrating with our community!
Thank you for supporting our special events!
We look forward to hosting more events in 2025.

Economic Development
This year we were able to highlight 17 City of Victorville businesses through Our Shop Local campaign and our monthly #mybizinvv drawings.
The success of every business is essential for the economic strength of our City and we were happy to be able to spotlight these businesses.
We look forward to continuing these programs in the New Year.
We also look forward to welcoming new businesses in 2025 including Five Below and Raising Cane's.

What's the Tea, VV?
This year, we were excited to launch our City Podcast: What's the Tea VV? to have a longer format to discuss the issues of most importance to our community members.
This audio/visual program is available on Youtube and all podcast hosting platforms. You can catch up on the previous five episodes now by visiting VictorvilleCA.gov/StayConnected. Our sixth episode will be available Jan. 6!

Anniversaries, Ribbon Cuttings, and Groundbreakings
2024 was a year of milestones for the City of Victorville.
We celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Southern California Logistics Airport and the one-year anniversary of our Wellness Center.
We also came together to celebrate the ribbon cutting for our new Animal Care and Adoption Center located at 16648 E St. and to break ground at the Green Tree Golf Course for our new City Library expected to open in 2025.

Victorville Wellness Center
This month, is the one-year anniversary of our #cityofvv Wellness Center. This first of its kind, low-barrier, non-congregate emergency housing facility offers interim housing and wraparound support services with a medical and recuperative care clinic on-site.
Thanks to the supportive services offered at the center, more than 110 individuals have graduated to permanent housing. Looking forward, we are excited to continue this important work to reduce homelessness throughout our city.

Residential Organics Program
Our residential organics program has been extremely successful this year! Thanks to our Victorville residents and the green cart program, more than 10,000 tons of food and green waste have been successfully diverted from the landfill!
That's equivalent to roughly 10,000 small cars being collected!

Curbside Christmas Tree Pickup
Victorville residents of single-family homes with curbside trash service can take advantage of our Curbside Christmas Tree Pickup Service, Jan. 6-17. Remove all decorations and place your tree curbside on your normal pickup day. Cut the tree in half if it’s eight feet in length or longer. You can also cut your tree into smaller pieces and place them in your new, green organics recycling barrel.
Flocked and artificial trees must be cut down to fit in trash barrels or scheduled for a bulky item pickup through Victorville Disposal (760) 245-8607.
Learn more about this curbside service and additional disposal options such as FREE bulky item pick up and drop off recycling at vv.city/christmastreepickup.
