Concerts in the Park and Victorville Sings!
We had a great time last week at our Concerts in the Park kick-off and enjoyed listening to the Victorville Sings participants. Congratulations to Penelope Padilla for progressing to the finals!
Our next concert is June 28. Bring your family for an evening of FREE musical entertainment, arts and crafts, KidsZone, and food vendors.
This year we have a few new safety measures in place. Upon entry, all bags and coolers will be checked for outside alcohol. Items that are not allowed will be asked to be left in your vehicle. If you have a clear bag, that would be a great option and will help keep the line moving. Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept in on a leash of no more than six feet in length. Gates open at 5 p.m.!
Concerts will be from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Hook Park on the following Fridays:
June 28 –Tania Y Su Nueva Era (Latin) July 12 – Acme Time Machine (Oldies) July 19 – Southbound & Co. (Classic Rock)
During the concert, TXT2VOTE for your favorite Victorville Sings performer. Finalists will be selected from the first three concerts, and the champion will be crowned at the final concert, July 19.

Pet Safety Tips for the 4th of July
Keep your pets safe this holiday! Fireworks displays can be overwhelming for most pets, especially dogs. If possible, bring your dog inside to a confined space and play music or a television to cover the sound of the fireworks. Be sure your pet is wearing an updated, visible ID tag, and take a current photo of your pet just in case. Keep fireworks, charcoal, and other harmful products out of reach.

Animal Care & Control Pet Adoptions
Success Stories:
Our Animal Care & Control Team works around the clock to ensure that the pets in our care are well taken care of and find their fur-ever homes! We are grateful for the support of our community and rescue partners.
Last week, we placed 15 dogs with animal rescues. One rescue took eight small dogs we had in our care, and Officers Smith and Lopez transported seven dogs to Baker to place them in the care of Dublin, a rescue located in Las Vegas. So far, Dublin has rescued close to 50 dogs from our temporary animal shelter. We are fur-ever grateful for the rescues that give these loving dogs a second chance!
