We invite you to join us for our Annual Concerts in the Park Series which kicks off June 21!
Bring your family for an evening of FREE musical entertainment, arts and crafts, KidsZone, and food vendors.
Concerts will be from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Hook Park on the following Fridays:
June 21 –Silver Lining (Country) June 28 –Tania Y Su Nueva Era (Latin) July 12 – Acme Time Machine (Oldies) July 19 – Southbound & Co. (Classic Rock)
During the concert, TXT2VOTE for your favorite Victorville Sings performer. Finalists will be selected from the first three concerts and the champion will be crowned at the final concert, July 19.

Juneteenth
City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. If you need help with a time-sensitive matter, please refer to our after-hours phone numbers at vv.city/ReportaProblem.
Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when federal troops arrived in Galveston, TX to ensure enslaved people knew they were free after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed two years prior.
Join us as we celebrate this holiday that commemorates the official end of slavery in the United States.

Animal Care & Control Pet Adoption and Events
Pet Fostering and Adoptions:
Drop by this weekend to meet the pets we have available for adoption or fostering. Our adoption event will be at our Animal Care & Control office located at 14206 Amargosa Rd. between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
You can also meet pets that are available at our Animal Care & Control Office, Mon.-Thur. 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. and Fri. 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
If you can’t adopt, please consider becoming a short- or long-term volunteer foster, which will help provide the animals in our care the space, attention, and comfort they need.
Free Licensing and Microchipping:
Our Animal Care & Control staff also offers free pet licensing and microchipping for Victorville Residents at our office located at 14206 Amargosa Rd. every Thursday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic:
Mark your calendars! Our Animal Care & Control team is hosting a low-cost pet vaccination clinic and adoption event June 22 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.! The event will take place in front of Victorville City Hall, 14343 Civic Dr. For a list of available services please visit VictorvilleCA.gov.
At this event, vaccinations and pet licensing/renewals must be paid for with cash only.

Fireworks continue to be illegal in the City of Victorville, and our $1,000 fine is being enforced.
Leave the fireworks to the professionals and join us for our 4th of July Spectacular at the Fairgrounds.
Report fireworks anonymously at vv.city/reportfireworks.
You can help us increase the effectiveness of our enforcement efforts by including the exact street address in your report.

Library Programs
The Victorville City Library hosts great educational programs for children and teens.
Summer Reading Program
Now through July 20, kids 0-17 are invited to participate in our Summer Reading Program. Read a certain number of minutes daily or weekly to earn prizes! Each week you read, you can earn a book, a small incentive, and a raffle ticket for our weekly prizes. The more you read, the more likely you are to earn the chance to win one of our grand prizes at the end of the summer! A Stitch in Time
If you are interested in learning new craft techniques such as crochet, knitting, sewing and more, join us June 26 at 4 p.m. to learn how to make macrame leaves. Free for teens and adults.
Teen Tech Space
We invite ages 12 and older to join us for Teen Tech Space at our Victorville City Library.
Join us June 27 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to participate in our Teen Tech Space at our Victorville City Library. We invite teens to create a model on our 3D printer. We’ll also have an Oculus available for ages 13 and up.

Recreation Programs
Recreational Swim
Beat the heat this summer and cool off with a recreational swim day at our Doris Davies Pool Tuesday through Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.!
Recreational swim will be available through Aug. 17 except on June 19 and July 4 when our pool will be closed for holiday observances.

Environmental Programs
Free Kitchen Food Scrap Containers
In an effort to reduce landfill waste and promote composting, we are pleased to announce that residents can now pick up a FREE kitchen food scrap container at City Hall or the Victorville City Library during hours of operation. No appointment is necessary. Pickup for the kitchen food scrap containers will be located at the Code Compliance counter on the first floor of City Hall, 14343 Civic Dr., Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Residents can also pick up a free kitchen food scrap container at the Victorville City Library, located at 15011 Circle Dr., Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Residents must present a valid photo ID with Victorville service address to prove residency. Residents that do not have an updated or valid photo ID can prove residency with a recent utility bill.
Free Recycling Drop Off Center
Victorville residents and businesses can take advantage of our FREE Recycling Drop-Off Center. It's located at 15164 Anacapa Road and open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The City’s Recycling Drop-Off Center accepts:
- Appliances such as microwaves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, air fryers, etc.
- Electronic waste such as TVs, computers, monitors, chargers, headphones, etc.
- Scrap metal (no car parts or gas cylinders)
- Recyclables such as cardboard, aluminum and tin cans, junk mail and clean paper, glass, plastic bottles, rigid plastic containers, trays, tubs, and jars labeled #1-#7
- Mattresses (king, queen, full, twin, futon, and box springs only)
- Bulky items/furniture (City of Victorville RESIDENTS only)
- Tires (City of Victorville RESIDENTS only) Max 5 tires, with or without rim. Car, light truck, and motorcycle tires only. No commercial or equipment tires.
The following items are NOT accepted:
- Trash
- Clothes
- Hazardous Waste
- Overweight items such as pianos or pool tables
- Construction materials or wood waste
- Carpet & padding
- Garden trimmings
Residents must bring a valid photo ID and a recent utility bill showing a City of Victorville service address to drop off bulky items and/or tires.

Fireworks Spectacular
We hope you'll join us for our 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds! Gates open at 4 p.m., and the show begins at 9 p.m.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The fireworks will be accompanied by patriotic music simulcast on radio station Kat Country 100.7 FM.
