The FREE, four-hour guided tours are being offered June 11, 24, and 27 for community members to gain a behind-the-scenes look at Victorville operations, services, and strategic priorities. Attendees will be among a very select few to drive the apron at the Southern California Logistics Airport or to walk the campus of the new Victorville Wellness Center.

Bobby Clemmer Sworn in as Victorville's Fire Chief
Last week, we swore in Bobby Clemmer, as our new City of Victorville Fire Chief. Bobby is a lifelong High Desert native who most recently served as Deputy Chief of Operations for the Victorville Fire Department. We are excited for Bobby to take our VFD to the next level in service to our community. Bobby assumes the leadership role from William Racowschi who has served as Interim Fire Chief since December 2023. Andrew Roach was also sworn in during our Council meeting as the new Deputy Chief of Operations. Learn more at VictorvilleCA.gov.

Animal Care & Control
Pet Fostering and Adoptions: Drop by the San Bernardino Fair this weekend and find your 'fur-ever' friend! Our Animal Care & Control team will be at the fair this Saturday, June 1 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with our adoptable pets.
You can also meet pets that are available at our Animal Care & Control Office, Mon.-Thur. 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. and Fri. 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
If you can’t adopt, please consider becoming a short- or long-term volunteer foster, which will help provide the animals in our care the space, attention, and comfort they need.
Free Licensing and Microchipping:
Our Animal Care & Control staff also offers free pet licensing and microchipping for Victorville residents at our office located at 14206 Amargosa Rd. every Thursday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Fireworks continue to be illegal in the City of Victorville, and our $1,000 fine is being enforced.
Leave the fireworks to the professionals and join us for our 4th of July Spectacular at the Fairgrounds.
Report fireworks anonymously at vv.city/reportfireworks.
You can help us increase the effectiveness of our enforcement efforts by including the exact street address in your report.

Concerts in the Park
Our Annual Concerts in the Park Series begins June 21! Bring your family for an evening of FREE musical entertainment, arts and crafts, KidsZone, and food vendors.
Concerts will be from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Hook Park on the following Fridays:
June 21 –Silver Lining (Country) June 28 – Tania Y Su Nueva Era (Latin) July 12 – Acme Time Machine (Oldies) July 19 – Southbound & Co. (Classic Rock)
During the concert, TXT2VOTE for your favorite Victorville Sings performer. Finalists will be selected from the first three concerts and the champion will be crowned at the final concert, July 19.
We’re still accepting applications for food vendors to join our Concerts in the Park series select Friday nights in June and July.

Free Compost Giveaway
We are excited to announce that a FREE year-round compost giveaway for Victorville residents is now available at the Victorville Recycling Drop-off Center located at 15164 Anacapa Rd.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center
Got hazardous waste? High Desert residents can take advantage of the City’s FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center (HHWCC)! Open every Wednesday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Loves Lane in Victorville. The HHWCC facility is located off Desert Knoll Drive and behind the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds.
The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center takes any residentially generated hazardous waste, including, but not limited to:
- Sharps and needles
- Electronic waste such as TVs and computers
- Batteries including vehicle batteries
- Paints, stains, and sprays
- Medications
- Used motor oil, fuel, filters
- Fluorescent light bulbs
- Household cleaners
- Pesticides and weed killers
- Tires (City of Victorville RESIDENTS only) * Max 5 tires, with or without rim. Car, light truck, and motorcycle tires only. No commercial or equipment tires.
*Please note dropping off tires requires proof of City of Victorville residency. Please bring a valid photo ID and a recent utility bill to drop off tires.
