Dump your junk for FREE! Dispose of unwanted items at our Free Dump Day, March 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the former Victor Valley Jr. High on Forrest Avenue at 8th Street. This event is open to Victorville residents only.

Spring Festival

Our Spring Festival is back!

Join us on March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hook Park. This fun event will feature a Kids Zone, delicious food, prizes to be won, and age-divided egg hunts for $5 per child.

Tickets for the egg hunt are on sale at VictorvilleCA.gov/Recreation. Pre-registration is required.

Animal Care & Control

Find your “fur-ever” friend at our adoption event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our Victorville Animal Care & Control Office located at 14206 Amargosa Rd.

You can also meet adoptable pets at our office, Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Community Cleanup Day: April 20

Our next Community Cleanup Day is April 20, and we are seeking volunteers to join the effort to keep Victorville beautiful! Volunteers will receive coupons for discounted lunch at local eateries and a FREE t-shirt while supplies last. The registration deadline is April 5. Register now at VictorvilleCA.gov/CCU. 2023 Victorville Recycles Week Contest Winners

At our #cityofvv Council Meeting this week, we had the pleasure of recognizing the winners of the City's annual Victorville Recycles Week Contest for schools. Alex Juarez, Alyssa Vences, Jasmine Barbosa and Mia Pacheca from Cobalt Institute of Math and Science were recognized for their sculpture of flowers created from aluminum cans, and Vivian Tan from Victor Valley High School was recognized for creating the best poster. Endeavor School of Exploration received the award for best school participation! Congratulations to all of the winners! The purpose of Victorville Recycles Week is to educate students about the importance of recycling.

Library Programs for Kids & Teens

The Victorville City Library hosts great educational programs for children and teens.

Spring Luminary

Join us at the Victorville City Library, March 23 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. to create your own spring lantern! Registration for this free event is required at the library. Spring Break Crafts for Kids

Need something to do during during Spring Break, March 25-29? Join us at the Victorville City Library between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a different craft each day! Participation is free for kids 0-17.

In-N-Out Cover to Cover Reading Program

Now through April 15, the Victorville City Library invites readers to participate in the In-N-Out Cover to Cover Reading Program. Read five books or 300 minutes to earn a burger from In-N-Out. Register now at the library.

Don’t forget to spring forward and adjust your clocks one hour this Sunday!
The time change can also serve as a friendly reminder to check your supplies. Check the dates on your emergency food and water and throw out any expired foods. For a list of basic supplies that can be included in an emergency supply kit, visit vv.city/emergencysupplykit.

We host our Council meetings the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. You are welcome to join us and provide public comment.
