This week, we announced the recipient of our Paramedic Scholarship. Joel Orduno received a full-ride scholarship from the City of Victorville and our Victorville Fire Department to cover all expenses associated with Victor Valley College’s Paramedic Academy.
We’re proud to collaborate with the Victor Valley College Foundation to establish this scholarship to invest in future fire service leaders to provide top quality public safety services for our growing community.

Spring Festival
Our Spring Festival is back!
Join us on March 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hook Park. Currently we are seeking vendors to participate in this fun event that features a Kids Zone, delicious food, prizes to be won, and age-divided egg hunts for $5 per child.
Tickets for the egg hunt go on sale March 4 at VictorvilleCA.gov/Recreation.

Community Cleanup Day: April 20
Our next Community Cleanup Day is April 20, and we are seeking volunteers to join the effort to keep Victorville beautiful! Volunteers will receive coupons for discounted lunch at local eateries and a FREE t-shirt while supplies last. The registration deadline is April 5. Register now at VictorvilleCA.gov/CCU. We are excited to announce that the first Sprouts Farmers Market in the Victor Valley will open next month! Located at 12450 Amargosa Road, Sprouts is expected to open on March 15!

Animal Care & Control
Find your “fur-ever” friend at our adoption event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our Victorville Animal Care & Control Office located at 14206 Amargosa Rd.
You can also meet adoptable pets during our office hours Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The deadline to enter this month's #MyBizInVV Drawing is fast approaching! We invite licensed Victorville businesses to enter our free drawing for a chance to win a fully-produced promo video valued at $2,000 to market your business. Library Programs for Kids & Teens

The Victorville City Library hosts great educational programs for children and teens.
Teen Tech Space: Join us Feb. 29 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for our Teen Tech Space. Create a model to make on our 3D printer. Available for ages 12 and up.

Blocks & Cars Program for Kids: Every Friday between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., children ages two to eight are invited to our Victorville City Library to lock their imagination into high gear with our Blocks & Cars Programs. This program is a great way to develop socialization and fine motor skills.
Weekly Story Time: Stop by Tuesdays and Wednesdays for stories, craft, music and more! Evening Storytime will be Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Multilingual Storytime will be offered on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
