We're preparing for our 27th Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 11, and we want to honor all Victorville Veterans! Please tell us about a Veteran you know and love so we can honor them during our ceremony.
Veteran Information Forms and Parade Entry Applications are due by Oct. 6. Submit your information and learn more at VictorvilleCA.gov/VeteransDay.
Our celebration will take place in Old Town Victorville and can be viewed from 7th Street and Forrest Avenue. We'll kick start the event with our Freedom Mile Run at 8:45 a.m. This fun run is free, and participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt while supplies last.
The Veterans Day Parade will begin at the corner of 7th Street and Tracy Street at 9 a.m. and proceed to the corner of 7th Street and Forrest Avenue where the ceremony will take place immediately following the conclusion of the parade.

Fall Festival
Our Fall Festival is planned for Oct. 7! This year we have an amazing lineup of live entertainment, craft & food vendors, a Kids Zone, pet adoption clinic, beer garden, and more!
We invite you to come out and join us from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. in front of City Hall, 14343 Civic Dr. All rides and entertainment are FREE!

Licensed Victorville Businesses are invited to enter our FREE #MyBizInVV drawing! The winner will receive a fully-produced promo video for their business that we will post to our social media accounts and highlight in this digital newsletter. To enter, follow our Facebook (@cityofvictorville) or Instagram (@cityofvv) page and make a post or a story tagging us using the hashtag, #mybizinvv, and answer this question: “Why do you like doing business in the City of Victorville?” The deadline to enter is Friday Sept. 15, and the winner will be announced Monday, Sept. 18. We can’t wait to highlight our local businesses.

Community Cleanup Day
Our next Community Cleanup Day is Oct. 21 and we’re seeking volunteers and sponsors to join us.
Volunteers will receive coupons for discounted lunch at local eateries and a FREE t-shirt while supplies last.

Weekly Storytime
Storytime at our Victorville City Library kicks off Sept. 20. Join us Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for great stories, fun crafts, entertaining music and more. For more information about our weekly Storytime, please call (760) 245-4222.

Recreation Scholarship
Applications are now being accepted for our Recreation Scholarship that provides financial assistance for qualifying children’s sports and preschool activities. The scholarship will pay for 80 percent of one qualifying activity fee per child, per calendar year. Applicants must be Victorville residents. Proof of residency and income are required.
Applications are available at Hook Community Center.
