Earlier this month, our Animal Care and Control team received a generous donation of cooling units to help keep temperatures comfortable for the pets in our care. We're big fans, thank you Debbie!

It's Clear the Shelter Month!  Find your “fur-ever” friend at our pet adoption event this Saturday. Join us from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at our Animal Care & Control Office located at 14206 Amargosa Rd. You can also come meet the adoptable pets during our office hours (Mon.-Thur. 7a.m.-4p.m. and Fri. 7a.m.-3p.m.). Construction of the Pace Center, an all-inclusive elderly care facility, is really coming along! Interior wall framing is complete, and contractors are working on the rough plumbing and electrical. This 18,340-square-foot facility will offer adult day care and onsite clinical care for seniors. The Pace Center will be the first of its kind in the High Desert to offer clinical care, rehabilitation, therapy, activity rooms, a dining area, and more in one location!  We appreciate their investment in the City of Victorville.

Applications are now being accepted for our Recreation Scholarship that provides financial assistance for qualifying children’s sports and preschool activities.  The scholarship will pay for 80 percent of one qualifying activity fee per child, per calendar year.  Applicants must be Victorville residents.  Proof of residency and income are required.
