City Hall Temporarily Closed to Public Access

As a precautionary measure to protect our community, City of Victorville facilities have been closed to public access effective Dec. 4 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases among our City work force. San Bernardino County Assess and Refer EMS Protocol

A surge in COVID-19 related 911 calls is placing strain on the EMS System in SB County including here in Victorville. All emergency responders are now following an assess and refer protocol. Patients who do not require emergency transport to the ER will be referred for appropriate treatment such as urgent care, a primary care physician, etc. Please use 911 appropriately. State of California Regional Stay at Home Order

The State's Regional Stay At Home Order has gone into effect because a surge in COVID-19 cases is straining our health care system. In the High Desert, ICU capacity is at zero percent. Please take precautions to protect you and your loved ones to help slow COVID-19 infections in our community.

Unfortunately, some businesses are being impacted by this new health order. We continue to post information about financial aid and grants to support our local businesses at vv.city/businessassistance. Learn more about the state order at covid19.ca.gov.

Victor Valley Community Warming Shelter

The Victor Valley Community Warming Shelter is now open thanks to an agreement that was approved by our City Council on Nov. 17. This year, the shelter is located at Westwinds Sports Center, 18241 George Blvd. in Victorville. As a precautionary measure, the shelter will operate 24 hours each day with COVID-19 screening procedures and safety protocols in place. The shelter will accept individuals Tuesdays and Fridays. On these admission days, free van pickup is available at High Desert Homeless Services and Victor Valley Rescue Mission from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Providing shelter for our homeless population is critical during this pandemic and as we move into colder temperatures. We are thankful for these organizations that provide homeless support services for our most vulnerable individuals including Symba Center that is assisting with medical screenings and wellness checks at the Warming Shelter.

Library Survey

Although our City Library remains closed as a precautionary measure, we’re moving forward with our Library Master Plan. Victor Valley Rescue Mission Stuff the Bus Toy Drive

Help Victor Valley Rescue Mission stuff the bus with toys for their Annual Great Christmas Toy Drive. Donated toys should be new, unwrapped, and appropriate for ages zero to 17. Donations will be accepted on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walmart Supercenter located at 11896 Amargosa Rd. in Victorville. Zip Books Program

Thanks to a grant we received, the City Library can send books directly to your home FREE of charge through our Zip Books program. Submit a request for up to five books by email at zipbooks@victorvilleca.gov. Books can be returned later when the Library reopens. To learn more please call (760) 245-4222.

COVID-Compliant Business Partnership Program

San Bernardino County’s COVID-Compliant Business Partnership Program has been extended, and funding has been increased to continue support of small businesses that have been negatively impacted by #COVID-19. Previous recipients that applied before Oct. 31 will receive a check for the increased funding amount. Applications must be submitted by Dec. 13. To learn more, visit vv.city/sbcountycovidcompliant.

San Bernardino County Small Business Webinar

The County of San Bernardino has partnered with local resource organizations to provide businesses access to new programs and incentives.
