SUNNYVALE CELEBRATES GRAND REOPENING OF COMMUNITY CENTER GROUNDS AFTER $14 MILLION TRANSFORMATION

Sunnyvale Community Center, 550 E. Remington Drive
Enter by the Performing Arts and Creative Arts centers via Michelangelo Drive. The event will take place in the upper plaza by the fountain.

WHAT: |
You are invited to attend the City of Sunnyvale’s Community Center Grounds Reopening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, highlighting the recently renovated 2-acre park space and facilities.
New features include:
- New playground and picnic areas
- Game area, including ping pong and cornhole
- Amphitheater-style seating area
- Redesigned pond and fountain
- Renovated walking paths and a berm trail
- A brand-new restroom facility
- Public Wi-Fi access across common areas
- Energy-efficient lighting throughout the grounds
- Refreshed landscaping with water-saving irrigation
- Sustainable recycled plastic park furniture

The event will feature remarks from Mayor Larry Klein and Interim Director of Public Works Ramana Chinnakotla. Light refreshments will be provided.
