ROBBERY AT JEWELRY STORE
On Sunday, June 29, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at a jewelry store located in the 1000 block of East El Camino Real.
It was reported that the suspects used a vehicle to intentionally ram the building to gain entry. After breaching the building, multiple suspects entered through the opening and used hammers to smash display cases, stealing an undisclosed amount of jewelry. The suspects then fled the scene in several waiting vehicles, leaving behind the vehicle used to force entry, which was later determined to have been stolen.
During the response, officers located one of the fleeing suspect’s vehicles and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit was later terminated in the interest of public safety.
One individual inside the store sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
This is an active investigation. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact Detective G. Limon at (408) 730-7110.
