Join us for a performance of Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form known for its intricate footwork and expressive gestures.
Rooted in ancient temple traditions, Bharatanatyam seamlessly blends three key elements: Nritha, the pure rhythmic dance that highlights beauty in motion and form; Nrithya, which conveys meaning through expressive gestures, much like storytelling; and Natya, where dancers bring narratives and emotions to life through acting and dialogue. Together, these elements create a rich and immersive visual experience. Featuring both beginner and advanced learners trained under Guru Nagabrinda Thiru Sridhar, this student showcase highlights the beauty, discipline and grace of this ancient art.
This performance will take place in the Library Program Room.
Registration is not required.
