When the world around us seems to spin out of our control, learn strategies to be calm in the storm instead of defaulting to numbing or avoidance. Join Gena Rho—educator, dancer, yogini and certified Clinical Somatic Educator—for this special workshop and somatic exploration. Quiet your overactive nervous system, steady your runaway thoughts and ease your tight body. Practice the art of grounding amidst the chaos so you can move the way you were intended with freedom.
Please have a chair and a yoga mat for this workshop.
As a Clinical Somatic Educator, Gena Rho helps her clients find relief from chronic pain. Her primary somatic training is in the tradition of Thomas Hanna’s neuroscience-based, somatic movement education with Martha Peterson of Essential Somatics. Gena is a lead teacher for Essential Somatics, Teacher Training in the Northeast United States. She has been an adjunct professor at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Gena’s career as a modern dancer included performing and teaching internationally as a member of the Trisha Brown Company. She has an MFA in Dance from NYU TISCH School of the Arts.
