IN-PERSON: Earth Day Adult Painting: Sunnyvale Wildflowers
Saturday, April 5, noon to 2 p.m.
Olive Avenue, across from City Hall
Enjoy a free paint session among the wildflowers with Allie. Come to the Earth Day Festival that begins at 11 a.m. Then at noon, Allie will set up canvases by the wildflower pathways across from the City Hall entrance. Paint your own landscape of the local flora. Allie will assist everyone with tips and tricks on how to draw them, but this session will not have step-by-step instructions. Bring your amazing creativity to paint a unique creation! Advance registrations for this program are full. Day-of registration will be first-come, first-served.

This all-level Vinyasa class is designed for both beginners and experienced yogis. Expect a thoughtful sequence that blends gentle warm-ups, flowing transitions and strength-building poses, ending with grounding stretches and relaxation. Modifications and variations will be offered throughout. Registration is not required. Bring your own yoga mat and any props that may serve you. Yoga mats will not be provided.

The 2014 Academy Award nominee film Theeb takes place in 1916, when war is raging in the Ottoman Empire. Hussein raises his younger brother Theeb ("Wolf") in a traditional Bedouin community that is isolated by the vast, unforgiving desert. The brothers' quiet existence is interrupted when a British Army officer and his guide ask Hussein to escort them to a water well located along the old pilgrimage route to Mecca. Learn how to take part in the City Nature Challenge, an international event to document wildlife in participants' cities. We'll give you a brief tutorial on using the iNaturalist app to get started. After you learn how to record and share your nature observations, we'll head outside to explore the wild plants and animals around the library! This program is for all ages. IN-PERSON: Lotería Game Night!
Monday, May 5, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Lotería is a traditional Mexican board game in the style of Bingo. Players match images from a deck of cards to the images on their tabla, or board. The first player to have all the images on their tabla matched wins the round. Winners will receive a prize! Both seasoned Lotería players and beginners are welcome. This game will be presented in English and is adults only. Registration is not required but is encouraged.

Silent Book Clubs are catching on around the world, as a way to meet other book lovers in your area and read together in quiet camaraderie.
