Start your new year with a guided mindfulness session featuring gentle exercises for connecting the body and mind, balancing the nervous system, and developing self-compassion.
This event will take place in the Library Program Room.

Monday, Jan. 6, 6 to 7 p.m.
Ring in the Year of the Snake with a special calligraphy class led by Jojo Liu! This session introduces the basics of Chinese calligraphy, including brush techniques, stroke order, and the art of writing auspicious New Year phrases to celebrate the occasion.
This program is for adults only. It will take place in the Library Program Room.
Registration is required.
Participants, please arrive promptly. If you arrive late, your seat may be given to someone else. If you are waitlisted, you may wait outside the Program Room at the time of the workshop in case of no-shows. No-show spots will be first come, first served.
Wednesday, Jan. 8, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Silent Book Clubs are catching on around the world, as a way to meet other book lovers in your area and read together in quiet camaraderie. Bring a book of your choice, or choose one from the Library's shelves. After an hour of silent reading, there will be time to socialize with your neighbors about what you've read or anything else.
This program will take place in the Library Program Room.
