Saturday, Dec. 7, Noon to 5:30 p.m.
The Sunnyvale Gingerbread Village is coming back for our fourth year! The village will be on display in the Library's lobby from Sunday, Dec. 8th until early January 2025.
How to participate:
- Please sign up by contacting Winnie Lam (Sunnyvale Arts Commissioner) at winnielam@gmail.com
- Make and decorate your own family-friendly gingerbread house. This year's themes are Whoville, Grinch, and tropical holidays. These themes are simply suggestions. You're welcome to make something however you would like.
- Bring your gingerbread creation to the Library Program Room on Saturday, Dec. 7 between 12 and 5:30 p.m. If this time does not work for you, please email Winnie to arrnage an alternative drop-off.
- The maximum size of each gingerbread submission is 12 inches long x 12 inches wide x 17 inches tall.
- There's a maximum of one gingerbread creation per household.
- Your gingerbread creation won't be returned.
Building suggestions:
- You may use a store bought gingerbread house kit (available at local stores or online) or make your own.
- Use a hot glue gun. It's stronger than icing and will better keep your house together during the month-long display period.
