Hello Suisun City,
The City Manager’s Office is honored to be featured in this month’s Suisun City Scoop and is excited to share some key updates and priorities as we move through summer.
Thank you to everyone who attended the State of the City earlier this month. We had a fantastic turnout and truly appreciated the thoughtful conversations, especially around Suisun City expansion exploration and how our community desires to grow. Your voices and ideas matter, and we’re excited to keep those conversations going.
Looking ahead, we’re preparing for a series of community conversations starting in the fall. These meetings will focus on development, infrastructure and long-term planning. We encourage residents to come focused on priorities for the future — what’s important to you and why — so we can work together on solutions that benefit the whole community.
There’s a lot happening across Suisun City. Staff are building out an infill calendar to help guide development strategy, planning a visioning workshop and bringing forward a student-designed public art mural in partnership with Crystal Middle School. Our Fire and Code Enforcement teams have been hard at work mitigating vacant lots, and early fireworks enforcement over the Fourth of July helped keep things safe and orderly.
And of course, summer fun continues! We hope to see you at Dinner & Movies in the Park and Music on the Waterfront, two great ways to connect with neighbors and enjoy Suisun City’s beautiful outdoor spaces.
We’re proud of the progress being made and grateful to serve such an engaged and thoughtful community. Thank you for continuing to show up, speak up and be part of Suisun City’s future. We’re excited for our City!
Sincerely, The City Manager’s Office City of Suisun City

Suisun City Police Department
June was a month of strong collaboration and community involvement for the SCPD. On June 27, we partnered with the Solano Major Accident Response Team (SMART) for a joint traffic enforcement operation in Suisun City, promoting roadway safety through regional coordination.
On June 24, SCPD proudly participated in the Special Olympics Torch Run, joining law enforcement agencies across the region to support inclusion and respect for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
The department also welcomed several new team members in June. Public Safety Dispatcher Taylor Collins and Police Officers Tristan Pongrujaporn and Thomas Letterman have officially joined the SCPD team. We’re excited to have them on board!

This summer, our team has been working hard to support safer streets, maintain essential infrastructure and enhance local parks and facilities. Crews completed red curb painting near several schools to improve pedestrian safety, funded by a Safe Routes to School grant. Preparations are underway for the 2025 Paving Project, which includes key streets like Sunset Avenue and Walters Road.
At Heritage Park, staff is finalizing a contract to install new walkways, picnic areas, a mini-pitch system and more. City Hall roof repairs and the Fire Department remodel are nearly complete, while upgrades at the Train Depot and planning for a new Police Radio Tower are moving forward. Maintenance teams also supported the July 4th celebration, continued landscape work and cleared debris citywide.

Recreation, Parks and Marina Department
RPM is offering a full season of engaging programs and events across Suisun City this summer. Senior programs have been well-attended, including trips to the UC Davis Arboretum, live music events and ongoing wellness and recreation classes.
Our community enjoyed watching Inside Out 2 and The Wild Robot in June and July with a free meal under the stars, thanks to the Dinner & Movies in the Park series at Heritage Park. During June, residents also came together to celebrate, reflect and engage at the LLAR Memorial Scholarship 5K Walk and the two-day Juneteenth Family Block Party.
Lastly, the Marina team is excited to announce the addition of new staff member Kayla Navarro!
