The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors met in-person with remote public participation available via Zoom on Aug. 26, 2025. Below are the results of selected items on the agenda:
GOVERNING BOARD
- Acting as the Governing Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, conduct a public hearing to consider the FY 2025-2026 Moving To Work Annual Plan:
- A) Open public hearing
- B) Close public hearing
- C) Adopt a resolution approving the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo FY 2025-2026 Moving To Work (“MTW”) Annual Plan (“Plan”) as set forth in Attachment A and authorizing the Housing Authority Executive Director or Designee, to execute documents related to the MTW Plan submission.
HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY
- Adopt a resolution authorizing the Director of the Human Services Agency or designee to:
- A) Prepare and execute a second amendment to the Agreement with One Workplace, to include the cost of purchase, space design, and furniture install for phase two and phase three of the Fashion Island Remodel project (FIR), increasing the funding amount by $3,048,850 for a new total obligation amount of $5,048,850; and
- B) Execute all related documents with One Workplace in coordination with the County Attorney.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
- Introduction of an ordinance adding Chapter 4.124 to the San Mateo County Ordinance Code banning the sale and distribution of nitrous oxide subject to limited exceptions and waive the reading of the ordinance in its entirety.
- Adopt a resolution supporting Senate Bill 787 (McNerney) to establish a state-led clean energy industrial policy task force, strengthen California-based supply chains, and promote equitable economic growth in emerging clean-energy sectors.
- Adopt a resolution affirming commitment to young children, families, and seniors in the County of San Mateo.
