Justice-Involved Initiative Preparing for Go-Live
- In partnership with Correctional Health Services (CHS), The Justice Involved Initiative is set to go-live July 1!
- As we near the go-live date, BHRS and CHS are planning to test the adult behavioral health services workflow to ensure all systems and processes are functioning as intended and that any issues can be identified and resolved prior to launch.
- The Youth Services Center is starting a design team to build their workflow. This is expected to go live December 1, 2025.
- As a reminder, the Justice-Involved Initiative provides services to justice-involved adults and youth while they are incarcerated and as they re-enter their communities.

Contractor Quality Improvement Incentive Program Reminder
- As a reminder for our contractors, the remaining incentive deliverables are due May 31, 2025.
- The CalAIM Contractor Quality Improvement Incentive Program (CQIIP) helps mental health and substance use disorder contracted providers to build infrastructure to support the significant CalAIM changes.
- All participating contractors submitted their first set of deliverables by December 31, 2024 and have received their full incentive. Examples of deliverables included hosting outreach events to raise awareness of services and increase access to behavioral health care, all pertinent staff completing service code and progress notes training and to implement procedures for hiring and certification of Peer and Family Support Specialists.

Diagnosis Form Issue Resolved
Reprint courtesy of the QM lightbulb: The issue with the Diagnosis form in Avatar that was producing an error when submitting the form has been resolved! The Diagnosis form can now be successfully submitted regardless of if you select "Yes" or "No" for the "Add to Problem List" item on the form. As a reminder, BHRS has not yet implemented the problem list. Therefore, if you select "Yes" you still won't be able to see it on a Problem List. However, regardless of if you select "Yes" or "No" the diagnosis will be entered into the client's chart.
