The California Human Trafficking Investigators and Prosecutors Association has the following online trainings scheduled for May and June.  Anyone can register to become a member at www.caltipa.org.  The following trainings will be conducted via Zoom and are free to association members:

 

  1. May 2nd 12:00 -2:00 p.m. – Child Sex Trafficking Survivor Presentation with Q/A for members
  2. May 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th - from 12-1 p.m. – 4 part training series on HT addressing investigations from first contact to final conviction by SAC Investigator Jason Collins and Sac DDA Courtney Martin
  3. June 6th 12-1:00 p.m. – training on open source intelligence in HT cases
  4. June 13th 12-1:00 p.m. – training by the Western Region Director of Safety and Security for Motel 6.  He will discuss how he can help you with serving subpoenas on Motel 6 employees, gaining real-time evidence from Motel 6 locations, getting surveillance videos, comped Motel 6 rooms for investigations, and more. 

 

*Some of these trainings will be recorded and made available to members on demand if you are unable to attend the live zoom sessions.

 

Additional webinars are being planned and will be scheduled for June and July.  If your department is interested in having a large group attend one or more of these trainings, please reach out to me. 

 

Also, there is still room at our statewide annual conference scheduled for September 23-25th in Santa Barbara.   Members and non-members can register for the conference at www.caltipa.org.  This is a law enforcement only event.  

 

The association has approximately 175 members that have enrolled in the past two months.  As a member you will also get access to the membership directory with contact information for prosecutors and investigators from across the state.
