Hey Jobs for Youth Members,
Fall plans are continuing to evolve, and uncertainty seems to be everywhere. In times like these, we like to breathe.
And breathe again.
And again.
We also like to remind ourselves that the flip side of uncertainty is possibility. Every "I don't know" is an invitation to get curious and stay open to learning. This is true when difficult circumstances affect our whole society. This is true when difficult things happen in our personal lives. And this is true for our education and career journeys.
We encourage you to take each uncertainty breath by breath, and we invite you to join us in getting curious about what might be possible for yourself, your community, and your future. We promise that there are so many great things to come.
We hope the resources in this newsletter help with your journey. And please reach out if you need any other support.
With care and deep breaths, Jobs for Youth
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Staying at home is still the best way to help others. If you are considering a job, internship, or volunteer opportunity, remember that the safety of yourself and those you live with comes first. It is safest to participate in a virtual opportunity that you can do from home. If you want to help in person, make sure that the organization has strong health and safety practices, wear a mask at all times, remember to keep 6 feet of distance from others at all times, wash your hands regularly, and do not touch your face.
