Dear Jobs for Youth Members,

Here we are, going into week eight of the shelter-in-place order, and you know what? You're doing a great job. We know that this situation is challenging, and we are all experiencing a wide-range of difficult experiences and emotions. No matter what you're going through right now, remember to give yourself a little grace, a little compassion, a little understanding. You are doing your best just like everyone else, and what you are doing is enough.

This month, like last month, we are sharing essential resiliency-building resources, with a few new additions. In this newsletter, you'll find:

  • Jobs that you can apply for or share with anyone who needs work at this time
  • Food, emergency, and immigration resources
  • Mental health resources
  • Volunteer opportunities that you can do from home
  • Ways to stay engaged and keep learning while you shelter in place

And as always, we are here for you. If you need help writing a resume, applying to a job, or any thing at all (and we truly mean anything), reach out to us at jobsforyouth@smcgov.org. We will do our best to help you or will connect you to someone who can.

Keep staying safe. You've got this. We've got this.

In solidarity,
Jobs for Youth
