Environmental Scientists


What do they do?:
 Environmental scientists combine their knowledge of the natural and social worlds to study and solve environmental problems. Environmental scientists have a number of different career paths; they can work in fields as varied as environmental law, food, and oceanography. Whatever they do, however, environmental scientists are united by one passion: the health of our environment.

What education do they have?: Most environmental scientists have a Bachelor's degree (51%), although many workers in this field have a Master's (39%). Some environmental scientists have a doctorate (10%).

How much do they make?: Between $51,700 and $138,120 per year
