40^th Annual Art & Wine Festival Sept. 17-18

Santa Clara’s biggest party returns in 2022! This year’s free festival  will feature regional artists, entertainment on two stages, Kids Kingdom, delicious food, ice cold beer, fine wine and much more! Visit the Art & Wine webpage for details.  

• Call for Artists - Are you an artist or craftsperson who sells original handmade arts or crafts?  We are searching for vendors in a variety of mediums including ceramics, photography, clothing, jewelry, wood and more! Email FestivalArtists@SantaClaraCA.gov for more information.
• Sponsorship Opportunities - Businesses and organizations can reach over 30,00 festival attendees over the weekend. A variety of sponsorship packages are available for purchase. Email TFreitas@SantaClaraCA.gov for more information.

California Low-Cost Auto Insurance Program – Online 
Wednesday, April 20 at 10 – 10:30 a.m. 
Many drivers are uninsured because standard insurance premiums are beyond their financial reach. Join Mary Beth Bykowsky from the California Department of Insurance for a free presentation to learn more about affordable solutions. You are required to register through the CA DOI. Register online.

Summer Camp Fair + Sunset Cinemas
Friday, April 22; Reed & Grant Sports Park, 750 Reed St. 
We will be hosting a free community-wide Summer Camp Fair starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by an outdoor family movie, “Encanto” starting at approximately 8:30 p.m. Meet our amazing vendors and recreation leaders, ask questions about our camp offerings and even register! Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration - Online
The City of Santa Clara has set up a variety of Earth Day and Arbor Day virtual activities and workshops to celebrate our planet throughout the month of April. Enjoy pre-recorded environmentally focused children’s book readings, learn ways to honor Earth Day and Arbor Day at home,and find additional Earth Day and Arbor Day activities by visiting SantaClaraCA.gov/ArborDay. “Be Strong, Live Long” Health & Wellness Fair
Friday, May 20, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Senior Center, 1303 Fremont St.
Celebrate and support older adults who are working to improve their own health and those caring for their older family members. Over 40 organizations will provide information about their services that can help make life better such as healthy living tips, food, music and fun. 

We're Hiring!

Lifeguard Certification Class through Parks & Recreation: Do you want to be a lifeguard this summer but don’t have your American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification? We will train you April 11-14 at the Warburton Pool, 2250 Royal Dr. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Health & Wellness Program at the Senior Center: If you have experience working with older adults in Santa Clara County as a Registered Nurse or as a Social Worker, we would like to meet you. We currently have part-time job openings for positive and experienced people who can help residents age 50+ navigate and connect with resources to help them maintain independence and thrive.

Recreation Summer Jobs: Make memories this summer with the Parks & Recreation Department. We are hiring for several positions within the Department at a variety of facilities. Opportunities include Instructors, Leaders, Office Assistants and Specialists.

Recreation Coordinator: We're hiring for a full-time Recreation Coordinator in the sports and aquatics division. This role includes programming at the Earl Carmichael Gymnastics Center, planning aquatic programs, recruiting staff, developing recreation services and planning citywide special events.

Celebrate Santa Clara’s diversity with the Cultural Commission’s commemorative months’ coloring book. Enjoy monthly coloring pages and activities as we celebrate the diversity of our City.
