Big Trucks, Big Fun: Let’s Celebrate Public Works Week Together!
Get ready for a fun, hands-on event for the whole family! The City Works Festival brings Santa Rosa’s streets, water systems, and parks to life as we celebrate National Public Works Week. We’re excited to show you how our skilled Public Works professionals help keep our city safe, healthy, and moving every day - and how they serve as first responders when it matters most.
You’ll enjoy free activities for all ages, like climbing aboard big construction trucks and equipment, joining an Infrastructure Scavenger Hunt for prizes, and meeting the crews who care for our streets, water and water‑reuse systems, parks, and open spaces. This is your chance to see how city services work and connect with the people who keep Santa Rosa running, rain or shine.
We’re holding this event in coordination with the Wednesday Night Downtown Market for even more fun! Join us on Wednesday, May 20, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., along 4th Street from Mendocino Avenue to D Street. Come downtown, bring your curiosity, and discover how your City works!
