Let's Talk, Santa Rosa: Keeping Santa Rosa Safe, Clean, and Self-Reliant.
Santa Rosa belongs to you – and so do the decisions that shape it.
We’re facing rising and uncontrollable costs and increased state mandates, and revenue isn’t keeping up with expenses. This is putting real pressure on our ability to deliver basic services. We cut about $15 million in expenses last year, including 54 positions. And we’re going to save taxpayers $28 million over the next five years by refinancing CalPERS payments. We’ve made great progress, but difficult choices will still need to be made soon.
As Santa Rosa plans for its future, you deserve a say in what comes next. That's why we're asking you, the community we serve, to help guide priorities for City services, including 911 emergency response, street maintenance, fire and wildfire protection, violent crime prevention, and more, starting with this year's budget.
Your neighbors are already weighing in. Now it's your turn. Tell us what matters most for a safe, strong, self-reliant Santa Rosa by taking our survey. We also encourage you to join the City Council budget hearings on May 5 and May 6 to learn more about this year’s budget and provide your feedback in person.
