Join us and more than 25 local and regional safety partners for the 6th Annual Wildfire and Earthquake Expo on Sunday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.

This free, family-friendly event gives you hands-on ways to learn how emergency teams work together to keep you safe during wildfires and earthquakes. You’ll also pick up simple tips to help protect your family, home, pets, and even livestock.

Enjoy a free breakfast and take home a free Go Bag (one Go Bag per family while supplies last). Watch live emergency demonstrations, explore exhibits, see public safety helicopters up close, and feel a simulated earthquake in the Shake Trailer. There’s fire extinguisher training, fun activities, speakers, and more. Education in English and Spanish is available, with free parking and food trucks. Don’t miss it!

Steady Progress on Reducing Homelessness in Santa Rosa

Homeless Solutions_HOST_320x370

We’re pleased to share that we’re making powerful strides in reducing homelessness in our community. Over the past year, we've made meaningful progress: 718 people were housed and 245 households avoided homelessness altogether. Even more encouraging, overall homelessness has dropped by 31% since 2022. Over the past three years, we expanded encampment services, cut vehicle dwelling by a remarkable 95%, and built stronger regional partnerships to better serve those in need. At the same time, we helped support the creation of more than 700 new affordable homes and supportive housing opportunities.

These accomplishments show our commitment to compassionate, coordinated solutions that improve health, safety, and stability for everyone in our community. You can learn more in the Year Three Report on the City’s Homelessness Solutions Strategic Plan.
