Let’s Talk, Santa Rosa – Maintaining Our Local Quality of Life

We want to do a better job protecting and maintaining our quality of life. With your help, we can keep Santa Rosa a safe, clean, beautiful place to live.

As we prepare for our 2026 City Council budget planning, we want to hear what matters most to you. Earlier this year, the City conducted a resident survey, available at srcity.org/Talk, to learn about community priorities. Some of the priorities identified by your neighbors included:

  • Maintaining 911 emergency medical and fire response services
  • Preventing streets from deteriorating; fixing streets and repairing potholes
  • Maintaining 911 police response times/police response to violent crimes
  • Keeping public places, including recreation centers, and infrastructure such as sidewalks, medians, and landscaping safe, maintained, and clean for everyone
  • Maintaining fire protection services/wildfire prevention and preparedness programs

Your feedback is an important part of the budget discussions. Join the conversation today! Please take the “Let’s Talk, Santa Rosa” survey and share what’s important to you. Thank you for helping guide our city’s future!

Lower Colgan Creek Restoration Project is Award-Winning

Lower Colgan Creek POTY ENG_320x370

The Lower Colgan Creek Restoration Project (Phase 3) won the American Public Works Association Northern California Environmental Project of the Year Award for projects between $5–$25 million! This award celebrates projects that protect the environment, use high‑quality construction, and benefit the community. The project team transformed 2,450 feet of worn‑down creek into a healthier, more natural waterway. The project also improves flood protection and adds a new bike, walking path, and pedestrian bridge for everyone to enjoy. And the work isn’t done yet! More than 9,000 native plants will soon be added with help from volunteers. This restoration keeps growing because of strong community support. Want to be part of it? Join the next Volunteer Planting Day on April 18!
