A Moment with the Mayor

Mark Stapp Headshot_384x546

Hello, Santa Rosa!

There’s so much great news to report! This fiscal year, we’re investing over $100 million in capital projects, including:

- A new bicycle and pedestrian bridge over Highway 101
- A new fire station and library in Roseland
- Major park renovations at Galvin, Howarth, and Martin Luther King Jr. Parks
- Millions in street repairs (we hear your concerns!)

We’re also in talks with the United Soccer League about bringing a team to Santa Rosa and celebrating hundreds of new housing units coming online. In short: Santa Rosa is building and improving!

At the same time, we know many residents are facing challenges. We’re supporting those impacted by rapidly changing federal policies and working with the County of Sonoma to address food insecurity. Our goal: a healthy, welcoming community for all.

We’re grateful to serve our 178,000 residents. Watch for upcoming community meetings—there’s more news ahead!

More updates soon,
Mark
