Residential Slurry Seal Work to Begin in Northwest Santa Rosa
The City's annual residential slurry seal program will take place Aug. 4 through 14 on selected streets in northwest Santa Rosa. Slurry seal is a cost-effective pavement treatment that helps extend the life of streets in good condition by sealing out moisture and slowing deterioration. Each year, about 2.5 million square feet of City streets receive this treatment. Streets are chosen based on condition assessments from the City's Pavement Management Program and grouped by neighborhood to improve efficiency. Streets in more deteriorated condition are scheduled for asphalt overlay or full reconstruction, as funding permits. Residents can plan ahead by reviewing the newly released daily maps and schedules available online
