Raising Community Awareness about the Dangers of Fentanyl and Gangs
The Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) and the City’s Violence Prevention Partnership are working with local school and community advocates to raise awareness about the growing dangers of fentanyl, emerging drug trends, and youth gang violence among school-aged children. A series of educational presentations at area high schools and community sites is happening now through early April. “We are deeply saddened by the loss of young lives and the ongoing threat posed by gangs and drugs in our schools,” said Santa Rosa Police Chief John Cregan. “Our priority is to ensure that students, parents, and educators have the tools, knowledge, and support they need to prevent these devastating issues from claiming more lives.” Visit the SRPD website for the presentation schedule and more information.
