How Community Input Is Shaping City Goals and Priorities
Robust community input is helping to shape the City of Santa Rosa’s goals and priorities. On Jan. 27, the City hosted its first community meeting of the year, and first in a series for the City to connect with the community. The meeting was highlighted by a sense of collaboration and optimism by the more than 100 people in attendance. Community members provided input on a range of topics, including infrastructure improvements, public safety, budget priorities, immigration, and school closures. Mayor Mark Stapp and Vice Mayor Eddie Alvarez provided updates and addressed questions. Community input received at the meeting, along with the results from a community survey, closing soon on Friday, Feb. 14, will provide critical information for the City Council as they gather for their Goal Setting session on Tuesday, Feb. 19, which is also open to the community.
