City Manager’s Project Update: 33-mile Neighborhood Road Recovery Paving Project
Work is proceeding on the $21.8M Neighborhood Road Disaster Recovery project, launched in January 2024, to repair 33-miles of residential streets damaged following the 2017 Tubbs Fire. So far, 16.5 miles of mill-and-fill paving have been completed—10 miles in Coffey Park and 6.5 miles in the Fountaingrove area—with another 1.5 miles in Fountaingrove set for completion by the end of January. In July 2025, Argonaut Constructors will resume pavement operations by applying a slurry seal pavement surface treatment to 15 miles of roadway prepared with dig-out repairs. The recovery project is on track to be completed by mid-September 2025.
