City Manager’s Message: City of Santa Rosa Public Budgeting Community Survey
The City of Santa Rosa is conducting a community survey to gather input on budget priorities, public services, and future City goals. The survey will be open through Feb. 14, 2025. Your responses will be instrumental in guiding decisions on how funds are allocated, ensuring they are used effectively to address the most pressing needs of our community. Santa Rosa City Council Selects Mark Stapp as Mayor and Eddie Alvarez as Vice Mayor
On Dec. 17, the Santa Rosa City Council selected Mark Stapp, representing District 2, to serve as mayor of Santa Rosa through December 2026. Eddie Alvarez, representing District 1, was named vice mayor for 2025. Caroline Bañuelos, representing District 5, was sworn in as a new council member, succeeding longtime Council Member Chris Rogers, who was elected to the state Assembly in November. Reelected members Eddie Alvarez (District 1), Dianna MacDonald (District 3), and Natalie Rogers (District 7) were also sworn in. Stapp expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as mayor and emphasized his commitment to working with the council and the community to address key issues. The next council meeting is set for Jan. 7, 2025.
