City Manager’s Project Update: Celebrating a Landmark Achievement
On Dec. 3, the City of Santa Rosa celebrated the acquisition of 49-acres of the Southeast Greenway property, a milestone achieved through years of collaboration with partners including the Southeast Greenway Campaign, Sonoma Land Trust, Sonoma Water, Sonoma County Regional Parks, Sonoma County Ag + Open Space, LandPaths, elected officials, and community organizations. This achievement highlights the power of multi-agency partnerships and community dedication. The celebration honored the tireless efforts of those who turned this vision into reality. The celebration was a time to reflect on the significance of the project, which culminated in an inspiring poem by a Piner High School student, emphasizing the importance of green spaces for health, well-being, and community connection.
