City Manager’s Project Update: City of Santa Rosa Downtown Transit Mall Reopening on Nov. 17
The City of Santa Rosa will reopen the recently upgraded Downtown Transit Mall on Second Street, between B Street and Santa Rosa Avenue, on Sunday, Nov. 17. The rehabilitation project involved replacing the failing pavement with a ten-inch-thick concrete roadbed, upgrading curb ramps and gutters, and enhancing striping to improve safety and deter non-transit vehicles. With these improvements, Santa Rosa CityBus, Sonoma County Transit, Golden Gate Transit, and Mendocino Transit Authority will resume full operations at this key North Bay transit hub. The City continues to pave the way for infrastructure improvements that support affordable, low carbon regional transportation. READ MORE
