September is National Emergency Preparedness Month
Make Emergency Preparedness a Priority this Holiday Weekend and Beyond
The Labor Day weekend is here, marking the traditional last hoorah of summer and the unofficial beginning of fall. As residents gather to celebrate, the City of Santa Rosa is asking everyone to keep safety and emergency preparedness top of mind. This Sunday, Sept. 1, is the beginning of National Emergency Preparedness Month, a time to spotlight actions everyone can take to be prepared, such as signing up for alerts, knowing your evacuation zone, making a family plan, and creating a neighborhood safety net. Throughout September, the Santa Rosa Fire Department will offer fun activities and critical reminders for ways you can prepare yourself for an emergency. LEARN MORE
