Homelessness Prevention Pilot Program Receives City Council Approval

This week, the City Council approved an agreement with the local non-profit, Committee on the Shelterless (COTS) to operate a two-year regional homelessness prevention pilot program entitled Keep People Housed – Sonoma. The agreement authorizes $1.3 million in funding to COTS from the City of Santa Rosa, the County of Sonoma, and the City of Petaluma. Additionally, All Home, a Bay Area non-profit agency, has committed $2.6 million in funding for a program total of $3.9 million. The program, which All Home has successfully established in several other Bay Area regions, pairs financial assistance with housing stabilization services and referrals to legal services for households most at risk of losing their housing. The two-year program aims to prevent 350-400 local households from slipping into homelessness. LEARN MORE
