City Manager's Project Update: Po Shu Wang’s “Intersecting Infinity” Selected for Fire Station 5 Public Art Project
Artist Po Shu Wang with his proposal “Intersecting Infinity” has been selected to create a permanent public art installation at the City’s new Fire Station 5 in the Fountaingrove neighborhood. The installation will feature an 8-foot stainless steel sculpture symbolizing a phoenix rising and representing the community’s resilience and renewal following the 2017 Tubbs Fire. The City’s Art and Public Spaces Committee approved the selection in May after a thorough public review process. The original Fire Station Five, located on Newgate Court in Fountaingrove, was destroyed by wildfire. Wang’s “Intersecting Infinity” will be integrated with the architecture of the new Fire Station 5, which is under construction now on Stagecoach Road in Fountaingrove. LEARN MORE
