City Manager's Project Update: Neighborhood Road Recovery Project – Residential Street Paving to Begin
Once the spring weather becomes warmer towards the end of April, the City will begin paving streets as part of the Coffey Park and Fountaingrove Neighborhood Road Recovery project, which consists of resurfacing 33 miles of residential streets damaged following the 2017 Tubbs Wildfire. The paving will start in the Coffey Park neighborhood, where crews will continue removing existing pedestrian curb ramps and replacing them with new, ADA-compliant curb ramps. Starting the week of April 15, the contractor will begin to lower manhole frames and covers in preparation for street paving. Some minor traffic impacts may be associated with this work; however, only a few locations will be affected at a time. On April 18, the City will host a community meeting where residents can learn more about the project’s street paving process, schedule, and potential impacts. READ MORE
