Expect Rains and Periods of Gusty Winds Through Early Next Week
Although these systems do not appear as strong as the Feb. 4 storm, gusty winds and saturated soils could affect weakened trees and branches. In the previous storm, multiple homes in Santa Rosa sustained damage from winds and falling trees; we encourage residents to survey their properties for affected trees and or find a professional tree service to evaluate and remove hazards. Participate in the Fire Station 5 Public Art Project Survey
Take part in the Fire Station 5 Public Art Project by participating in the community input survey, developed in collaboration with the City’s Public Art Program and Fire Department. This survey is your opportunity to provide feedback on the artwork that will be installed once the new Fire Station 5 is rebuilt. Visit our website to explore the art proposals, get to know the artists, and share your feedback. Your input is crucial in shaping the artwork that will symbolize Santa Rosa’s resilient community spirit. The survey closes on March 15. TAKE SURVEY

Waste Less, Learn How to Repair Your Stuff
Do you have a lamp, small appliance, textile, or bike needing repair? If so, bring it to the Reuse Alliance Repair Fair at the Sonoma County Central Library from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17. Reuse and Repair Fairs are free community events that raise awareness about the benefits of reuse and connect people with reuse resources with each other. Volunteer and professional repair coaches will be on hand to repair your item while teaching you how to make future repairs yourself. Residents can learn how to repair their items in just a few hours at a single event, diverting reusable materials away from our landfill. REGISTER
